MetaTrader 5 is a demanding platform. Its multi-currency Expert Advisors and heavy tick data need a hosting environment engineered for stable, low-latency execution, not a general-purpose cloud box. Four requirements define a trading-grade MT5 Forex VPS in this guide: Windows Server pre-installed, sub-5ms latency to the broker’s trade server, dedicated CPU and RAM, and an uptime SLA backed by service credits. Everything else is secondary. This comparison evaluates five providers and the MetaQuotes first-party baseline against those four requirements.
TL;DR
VPSForexTrader Smart costs $31.99 a month, or $25.59 on promotional 12-month billing, for three AMD EPYC cores, 4 GB of ECC RAM, 120 GB of NVMe, and Windows Server 2025, the only three-core entry plan here; the provider adds a $0.99 three-day trial. QuantVPS Starter costs $29.99 for two EPYC cores and 4 GB of DDR4 ECC, with a 99.999 percent SLA page whose binding-exhibit wording conflicts with its terms of service and a CME cross-connect built for futures. NYCServers Basic costs $25 for two cores and 2 GB of DDR5 in named Equinix buildings including NY4 and LD4, with the chosen broker’s platform pre-installed and a market-hours uptime commitment. BeeksFX Bronze costs £31 monthly before VAT, about $41, or £310 on annual billing, for 1 vCPU and 2,560 MB, below the 4 GB floor, from an AIM-listed provider with no published uptime commitment. Cloudzy’s 4 GB plan costs $14.48 on a limited-time promotion, list $28.95, with Windows on a 180-day evaluation licence. MetaQuotes’ own hosting costs $15 a month for up to 3 GB inside a hosted terminal that forbids DLLs and allows one trading account.
Methodology
This comparison is compiled from provider documentation, live pricing and terms pages, and vendor-published performance data, captured on 29 September 2026 [1] to [6]. Supporting sources are Microsoft’s Windows Server requirements, Equinix facility pages, and brokers’ own statements of where their trade servers sit [7] [8] [9]. Providers were evaluated on the four requirements above: Windows Server included in the plan, broker proximity and the facilities each provider names, CPU cores and RAM against a 4 GB floor, and published uptime terms with service credits. Price by billing state, storage, and locations were compared alongside them. MetaQuotes’ hosting appears as an unnumbered price baseline, because it rents a hosted terminal rather than a Windows server. Vendor-published figures, including every latency figure, are labelled as such; no provider here publishes independently audited latency tests. Monthly, 12-month, and promotional prices are labelled wherever they appear. Where a provider does not publish a specification, the gap is stated rather than estimated. Targeted rechecks on 2 October 2026 covered QuantVPS location availability, annual pricing and SLA wording; NYCServers Standard promotion; Beeks Bronze annual pricing and rack coverage; Cloudzy installation scope; MetaQuotes pricing; and Microsoft memory requirements. Other checks retain their original dates.
The four requirements
Windows Server pre-installed is the platform requirement. MetaQuotes lists Windows 10 and 11 as the systems MT5 runs on and supports Linux only through Wine, a compatibility layer [6]. Wine releases have broken the terminal before: WineHQ bug 57950, filed in March 2025, recorded MetaTrader refusing to run or install under Wine 10.3 until a fix that June [6]. A VPS that ships Windows Server takes Wine out of the chain.
Broker proximity is the network requirement. The latency that counts is the round trip from the VPS to the broker’s trade server. Brokers state where those servers sit: IC keeps its MetaTrader 4 and 5 servers in Equinix NY4 in Secaucus, New Jersey, and FxPro executes trades in Equinix LD4 on the Slough Trading Estate west of London [8] [9]. By vendors’ own figures, a VPS in the same building reaches such a server in about a millisecond; NYCServers markets sub-1 ms to major broker servers [3]. Cloudzy, which places VPSs in the same metro rather than the same building, describes single-digit milliseconds [5]. For a scalping or news EA that difference is the main buying decision, and for a swing trader it matters far less.
Dedicated CPU and RAM make up the resource requirement, because a host that oversells cores can slow every VPS on it when many EAs react to the same 8:30 AM Eastern data release. Microsoft sets 2 GB of RAM as the minimum for Windows Server 2025 with the Desktop Experience and recommends 4 GB [7]. This guide therefore treats two CPU cores and 4 GB as the floor for one to four MT5 terminals.
An uptime SLA backed by service credits is the SLA requirement. A 99.9 percent figure permits 8.76 hours of downtime a year, 99.99 percent permits 52.6 minutes, and 99.999 percent about 5.3 minutes. The percentage binds a provider only when a credit schedule sits behind it, and even then the credit returns part of the hosting fee, never the value of a missed trade.
The MetaQuotes baseline
Before the providers, MetaQuotes’ own MQL5 Virtual Hosting sets the price reference. It is rented from inside the MT5 terminal for $15 a month. On 12-month billing, its VPS homepage displays $10 a month, while its separate plans page lists $12.80; the two pages disagree, so confirm the rate shown inside the terminal before renting [6]. Each rented terminal gets up to 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of disk, with a 24-hour free trial [6]. MetaQuotes says its more than thirty hosting points reach 96 percent of broker servers in under 10 ms [6]. Its constraints define the niche: DLL calls are forbidden, one rented terminal serves one trading account, and there is no direct access to the hosted terminal [6]. Your EAs and charts are copied to it from your own terminal instead. At $15 a month it costs less than every monthly 4 GB plan below except Cloudzy’s promotional $14.48, which runs Windows on an evaluation licence [5] [6]. The providers below compete on the flexibility it lacks rather than on price.
The five providers at a glance
Pricing and specifications were initially checked against provider pages on 29 September 2026; targeted rechecks are dated 2 October 2026 in the references. Prices change frequently; confirm at purchase [1] to [6]. Every latency figure is vendor-stated and not independently replicated.

VPSForexTrader Smart: three EPYC cores and 4 GB of ECC RAM at $31.99

Infrastructure tier: Forex VPS London, New York, Amsterdam, Hong Kong. Operating since 2011.
VPSForexTrader is a forex VPS provider whose three Windows Server 2025 plans are rated by terminal count: up to 4 MT4 or MT5 terminals on Smart, 7 on Boost, and 10 on Max [1]. Smart provides three dedicated AMD EPYC cores, 4 GB of ECC RAM, 120 GB of NVMe storage, and weekly backups for $31.99 a month, or $25.59 a month on 12-month billing under a current promotion [1]. ECC memory detects and corrects the single-bit errors that could otherwise corrupt a calculation during 24/7 EA execution, and NVMe shortens disk waits during history downloads and log writes. Microsoft lists ECC or similar technology among the requirements for physical hosts running Windows Server 2025 [7]. Smart is the only entry plan in this comparison with three CPU cores, and the only one that pairs ECC memory with 120 GB of NVMe storage. For one to four MT5 terminals near brokers in New York, London, Amsterdam, or Hong Kong, it covers the 4 GB floor with ECC memory at $31.99 a month.
Boost moves to six cores, 6 GB of ECC RAM, and 180 GB of NVMe for $54.99 a month, and Max to eight cores, 8 GB, and 250 GB for $79.99 [1]. On promotional 12-month billing they cost $41.24 and $59.99 a month, so a growing portfolio moves up a tier without changing provider [1]. A $0.99 three-day trial in New York, London, or Amsterdam lets a trader measure latency to their own broker before paying $31.99 a month; the 14-day money-back guarantee covers paid plans, not the trial [1].
Strengths: ECC RAM on every plan, from Smart to Max; three AMD EPYC cores and 120 GB of NVMe on the entry plan, the only entry plan in this comparison with three cores; Windows Server 2025 Standard included and pre-installed on every plan, terminal guidance of 4, 7, and 10 by plan; a $0.99 three-day trial in New York, London, and Amsterdam.
Limitations: A trader in Asia-Pacific beyond Hong Kong, the Middle East, South America, or Africa has no nearby option; the specific EPYC model and DDR generation are not published; no Linux option; the trial is excluded from the money-back; latency figures are vendor-stated and not independently replicated.
QuantVPS Starter: futures-first VPS at $29.99

Infrastructure tier: futures-first, exchange-proximate. Operator: not named on public pages; states more than ten years in operation.
Against the SLA requirement, QuantVPS’s SLA page sets 99.999 percent monthly uptime for VPS, about 5.3 minutes of downtime a year, with credits from 10 to 100 percent of the monthly fee [2]. The two documents conflict: the SLA page calls itself a binding exhibit to the terms of service, while sections 3.1 and 6.2 of those terms (updated 19 August 2026) guarantee no uptime percentage unless separately contracted [2]. Its Starter plan costs $29.99 a month, or $23.99 a month on annual billing under its advertised 20 percent billing discount, for two AMD EPYC cores, 4 GB of DDR4 memory that its hardware page lists as ECC, and 50 GB of NVMe on Windows or Linux [2]. It clears the resource minimum, and higher Pro and Ultra tiers scale beyond for compute-intensive work [2]. The Chicago location is built around a direct fibre cross-connect to CME, marketed at under 0.52 ms, which suits a trader running futures alongside MT5 [2].
The Chicago cross-connect shortens the path to a futures exchange; for forex, QuantVPS sells the same Starter plan in New York, which its NY4 page markets as hosted in Equinix NY4, and in London, where it names no building [2]. Backups are not included on Starter; the $39.99 Starter+ plan adds automatic backups [2].
Strengths: a published 99.999 percent monthly SLA with credits up to 100 percent of the fee; 4 GB of DDR4 ECC memory on the entry plan, with resources its hardware page says are never shared; AMD EPYC and Ryzen hardware with NVMe storage across seven locations including Tokyo, with higher tiers scaling to compute-intensive multi-chart work; Windows or Linux on the same plan.
Limitations: futures-first positioning means forex traders should select and confirm the appropriate location; its London page names no building (its New York page names Equinix NY4); its terms of service disclaim uptime percentages unless separately contracted while its SLA page calls itself a binding exhibit to those terms, so the 99.999 percent figure’s enforceability is unclear from its own documents; backups are not included on Starter, and Starter+ adds them at $39.99; the 14-day satisfaction guarantee covers only a first payment made without a coupon or discount.
NYCServers Basic: broker-matched MetaTrader setup from $25

Infrastructure tier: retail proximity hosting. Operator: GreenHill Technologies Inc. (Connecticut, USA). Since 2012.
NYCServers is a retail forex VPS host whose About and latency pages name its infrastructure as Equinix NY4, LD4, TY3, SG1, HK1, and DUB1 (New York, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dublin) [3]. It markets sub-1 ms latency to major broker servers, and sub-2 ms from Singapore and Hong Kong [3]. Its Basic plan is $25 a month, or $20.83 a month billed yearly, for two cores, 2 GB of DDR5 RAM, and 60 GB of NVMe, on Windows Server 2022 or Ubuntu 24.04 [3]. A current promotion takes 20 percent off the first yearly invoice, bringing it to $200, or $16.67 a month [3]. At checkout the customer picks a broker or platform from a list of more than 100 brokers, platforms, and apps, and it arrives pre-installed, with a latency checker to help choose the location [3]. Its terms promise 100 percent availability during forex market hours, Sunday 5 PM to Friday 5 PM Eastern, with credits of 10 to 100 percent of a month’s charge [3]. VPS orders carry a 14-day refund period, limited to one refund per account [3].
For MT5 specifically, NYCServers rates Basic for one or two trading accounts, but the 2 GB plan falls below this guide’s 4 GB sizing recommendation; actual headroom depends on the EAs, charts, and Windows configuration [3]. A multi-terminal MT5 trader should size to the 4 GB Standard tier, $40 a month or $33.33 billed yearly ($26.67 a month in the first year, $320 billed upfront, under the same 20 percent first-invoice promotion), which keeps two cores [3].
Strengths: infrastructure in six named Equinix buildings, including NY4 and LD4, marketed at sub-1 ms to major broker servers; the broker or platform chosen at checkout arrives pre-installed, from a list of more than 100 brokers, platforms, and apps; a Tokyo location for APAC-routed brokers, with DDR5 memory and NVMe storage at the entry tier; a 100 percent market-hours uptime commitment with a published credit schedule, and a 14-day refund period.
Limitations: the 2 GB Basic tier falls below this guide’s 4 GB recommendation, so multi-terminal workloads should start with the 4 GB Standard; ECC status is not stated, so error correction cannot be confirmed for unattended EAs; no dedicated low-cost trial, only the 14-day refund; six locations leave traders in South America, Africa, and continental Europe without a co-located option, and latency figures are vendor-stated.
BeeksFX Bronze: broker-partner VPS at £31

Infrastructure tier: institutional, Equinix-colocated. Operator: Beeks Financial Cloud Group plc (AIM: BKS).
BeeksFX is the retail VPS line of Beeks Financial Cloud Group plc, which trades on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market (AIM: BKS) and runs dedicated racks in London, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, and Chicago, including Equinix LD4 and NY4 [4]. FxPro and Tickmill name BeeksFX as the provider of their client VPS on their own pages [9]. Its Bronze plan costs £31 a month before VAT in the UK store, about $41, or £310 on yearly billing, while the group’s VPS page shows £32 [4]. Each plan comes with a choice of MetaTrader broker at order, cTrader and cAlgo support, and a managed VPS option [4].
Against the resource requirement, Bronze provides 1 vCPU, 2,560 MB of RAM, and 30 GB of storage, which the group’s page lists as SSD, below this guide’s 4 GB floor for a multi-EA setup [4]. The store offers Windows Server 2022, plus Ubuntu 24 in London and New York [4]. Pricing in the UK store is in GBP, so a trader paying in another currency carries exchange-rate risk, and Beeks publishes no uptime commitment; its terms exclude liability for outages [4].
Strengths: an AIM-listed parent, and the VPS provider that FxPro and Tickmill name on their own pages; dedicated racks in six financial-centre cities, including Equinix LD4 and NY4; a choice of MetaTrader broker at order, with cTrader and cAlgo support and a managed VPS option; cross-connects to named liquidity providers such as LMAX and PrimeXM, sold as a separate product.
Limitations: Bronze’s 1 vCPU and 2,560 MB of RAM fall below the 4 GB floor, so a multi-EA setup needs a higher tier; no published uptime commitment, and its terms exclude liability for outages; UK store pricing in GBP brings currency risk for non-UK traders; setup takes up to 24 hours at weekends, and the retail store lists six cities, so confirm the facility and availability of the selected plan before ordering.
Cloudzy: AMD EPYC hardware at a pay-as-you-go price

Infrastructure tier: general-purpose cloud hosting across 13 locations. Operator: Cloudzy AI Information Technology L.L.C. (Dubai, UAE). In hosting since 2008, founded as RouterHosting.
Cloudzy is a general-purpose cloud VPS with a Forex VPS product line rather than a purpose-built specialist. It meets the hardware side of the resource requirement well, with AMD EPYC, DDR5 RAM, NVMe-only storage, and 40 Gbps uplinks across 13 regions [5]. Its most realistic MT5 plan is the 4 GB tier, with 2 vCPU and 120 GB of NVMe, at $14.48 a month on a limited-time 50 percent promotion against a $28.95 list rate [5]. That clears the memory minimum on a clean Windows desktop provisioned in 60 seconds, with a 99.95 percent SLA and a 14-day money-back guarantee; the 1 GB entry Forex plan at $3.48 sits below MT5’s floor [5].
Cloudzy markets Windows images for MetaTrader and separately offers a one-click MT4 image with the platform pre-installed. Broker-matched installation is not advertised on the pages checked; its marketplace instructions tell the trader to add the broker server and log in. It also describes a built-in latency view and offers Looking Glass for network testing. Confirm the chosen MT5 image and complete the broker setup [5]. Windows ships on a 180-day evaluation licence: Cloudzy’s FAQ asks for your own licence key for production use, and Cloudzy does not sell full Windows Server licences, so that cost sits outside its price list [5].
Strengths: AMD EPYC processors with DDR5 RAM and NVMe-only storage across 13 regions, meeting the hardware requirement; a 40 Gbps uplink, the highest published network bandwidth here; 60-second provisioning and hourly billing, well suited to short-term EA testing; a 99.95 percent SLA with a public status page and a 14-day money-back guarantee, with cryptocurrency accepted and in hosting since 2008.
Limitations: broker-matched platform installation is not advertised on the pages checked, so the trader completes the broker setup; Windows ships on a 180-day evaluation licence, and permanent use needs your own licence, a cost not in the plan price; the 1 GB entry tier is below MT5’s floor, so a realistic setup needs the 4 GB plan; regions sit in the same metro as broker hubs rather than in named Equinix buildings, at single-digit milliseconds by Cloudzy’s own description, which adds latency for a scalper, and ECC status is not stated.
Common mistakes when choosing an MT5 VPS
Running MT5 on a Linux VPS to save money often saves nothing. NYCServers and QuantVPS offer Ubuntu at the same plan price as Windows, $25 and $29.99 a month [2] [3]. The only change is that the terminal now depends on Wine, which WineHQ bug 57950 shows can break with a Wine update [6]. A Windows Server image removes that dependency at no extra cost on either plan.
Trusting a latency figure without checking it against your broker can lock in a slow route for a year. NYCServers’ sub-1 ms and Cloudzy’s single-digit milliseconds both assume the broker’s server sits in the same building or metro as the VPS [3] [5]. Before paying a year upfront, $200 at NYCServers or $307.10 at VPSForexTrader on current promotions, read the ping to your broker’s server from MetaTrader’s own connection indicator during VPSForexTrader’s $0.99 trial or a 14-day refund window [1] [3].
Undersizing RAM below the 4 GB floor turns a saving into a migration. A 2 GB plan such as NYCServers’ $25 Basic leaves little headroom once Windows and several charts load [3]. Moving to the 4 GB Standard later costs $15 more a month, $180 over a year at monthly rates. Size to 4 GB on day one for anything beyond a single light EA.
Treating an uptime percentage as a guarantee misreads what it pays. QuantVPS’s SLA page promises 99.999 percent and calls itself a binding exhibit to the terms of service, while those terms disclaim uptime percentages unless separately contracted. The documents conflict, and even a full credit returns at most the month’s fee, $29.99 on Starter [2]. MetaQuotes markets 99.99 percent while its rules say it makes no guarantees, and NYCServers’ 100 percent covers market hours only [3] [6]. Read the terms page, not the headline figure, and remember that no credit covers a missed trade.
Comparing a promotional cloud price with a specialist’s list price hides most of the gap. Cloudzy’s 4 GB plan costs $14.48 a month only while its 50 percent promotion runs [5]. At its $28.95 list rate it sits $3.04 below VPSForexTrader Smart’s $31.99, before you buy the Windows licence its 180-day evaluation copy will need [1] [5]. Compare list with list, and count the licence you would buy yourself.
Which provider fits which MT5 trader
A trader running 24/7 EAs on one to four terminals, where memory reliability is a production requirement, fits VPSForexTrader Smart at $31.99 a month, or $25.59 on promotional 12-month billing. It brings ECC RAM, three EPYC cores, and 120 GB of NVMe, with the $0.99 trial to check latency first. Where a published SLA percentage or futures alongside forex matters more, QuantVPS Starter at $29.99 monthly or $23.99 on annual billing offers New York and London locations alongside Chicago. Its New York page markets Equinix NY4 hosting, while its SLA and terms contain conflicting uptime wording that should be clarified before purchase [2].
Equinix NY4 or LD4 placement with the broker’s platform pre-installed points to NYCServers, from $25 a month for Basic or $16.67 on its first-year promotion. For multi-terminal MT5, its 4 GB Standard costs $40 monthly or $33.33 on annual billing ($26.67 a month in the first year under the 20 percent first-invoice promotion). A trader managing funded accounts who wants a listed provider and cross-connects to liquidity providers, sold separately, can take BeeksFX’s Bronze at £31 monthly or £310 yearly before VAT, accepting the 2,560 MB specification and GBP pricing. Someone comfortable completing the broker setup and supplying a Windows licence gets AMD EPYC hardware with hourly billing from Cloudzy’s 4 GB tier, $14.48 a month on its current promotion. And a single-account EA written purely in MQL5, with no DLLs, fits the MetaQuotes baseline at $15 monthly; on 12 months, its homepage displays $10 a month and its plans page $12.80, so confirm the rate inside the terminal [6]. A DLL, direct access, or a second account forces a move up.
Three findings
At 4 GB, core counts differ more than prices do. VPSForexTrader Smart has three cores at $31.99, while QuantVPS Starter at $29.99, Cloudzy’s 4 GB plan at $28.95 list, and NYCServers Standard at $40 each have two [1] [2] [3] [5]. Several EAs computing on every tick share those cores, so the count deserves the same attention as the RAM figure.
Latency claims here use different yardsticks. NYCServers markets sub-1 ms to major broker servers, QuantVPS under 0.52 ms to CME futures, Cloudzy single-digit milliseconds within the same region, and MetaQuotes 96 percent of broker servers under 10 ms [2] [3] [5] [6]. VPSForexTrader shows per-broker ping tables on its location pages, and BeeksFX publishes no current figure for its retail VPS [1] [4]. None is independently replicated, so the comparable number is the ping you read yourself during a trial or refund window. VPSForexTrader’s $0.99 three days, MetaQuotes’ 24-hour free trial, and the 14-day windows at QuantVPS, NYCServers, and Cloudzy all allow that.
ECC memory separates production-grade hosting from the rest for 24/7 EA operation, and it does not track price or marketing. Two providers here document error-correcting memory at the entry tier, VPSForexTrader on every plan and QuantVPS on its budget plans, while NYCServers, BeeksFX, and Cloudzy do not state it for their VPS plans [1] [2]. For a strategy running unattended for days, that single specification carries more weight than a headline latency figure, because a silently corrupted calculation during an unwatched session is a failure no SLA credit compensates.
FAQ
What are the minimum specs for a MetaTrader 5 VPS?
Plan on two CPU cores and 4 GB of RAM on Windows Server for one to four MT5 terminals with standard EAs, and 6 GB or more beyond that. Each terminal adds roughly 400 to 500 MB with a handful of charts, more with indicators over long histories. That is a practitioner sizing rule rather than a MetaQuotes figure. Microsoft sets 2 GB as the installation minimum for Windows Server 2025 with the Desktop Experience and recommends 4 GB [7]. A 2 GB plan runs below that recommendation; consider it only for a single light terminal after testing memory use under load, since paging depends on the charts, EAs, and Windows configuration. Size to 4 GB on day one for any multi-EA portfolio.
Can I run MetaTrader 5 on a Linux VPS?
Yes, through Wine, with more upkeep than Windows. MetaQuotes publishes an install script for Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint, and Fedora and recommends keeping both the distribution and Wine on their latest versions [6]. That advice cuts both ways: MQL5 forum threads from March 2025 and January 2026 report the terminal failing after upgrades to Wine 10.3 and Wine 11, the second cured by returning to Wine 10 [6]. A Windows Server image avoids that maintenance for an EA running 24/7, and every provider compared here offers one.
Does latency really matter for MT5 EAs?
For scalping EAs and news-trading robots, it is the main infrastructure variable; for a swing trader holding positions for hours, a VPS outside a financial data centre is acceptable. What matters is the distance to the specific server your account connects to, which can differ by platform even at one broker. IC runs its MetaTrader 4 and 5 servers in Equinix NY4 but its cTrader servers in LD5 in London [9]. Check the server named in your MetaTrader login before choosing a VPS location.
Which MT5 VPS has ECC memory?
VPSForexTrader lists ECC RAM on every plan card, from the $31.99 Smart to Max, and QuantVPS lists DDR4 ECC for its budget plans, including the $29.99 Starter, on its hardware page rather than its pricing page [1] [2]. NYCServers and Cloudzy publish DDR5 without stating ECC, and BeeksFX’s retail store gives no memory type [3] [4] [5]. A VPS cannot see its host’s memory type, so documentation is all a buyer has to go on, and for a set-and-forget EA it is worth reading before you pay.
Is a free broker VPS good enough for MetaTrader 5?
For a single-broker trader who meets the volume threshold, a broker-sponsored VPS is worth evaluating, because it costs nothing while the conditions hold. Check where it is hosted on the broker’s own page, since placement is not always stated, and read the conditions for losing it. The limits are that it binds you to that broker, the broker sets the specification, and the broker can change the threshold or end the programme. For a multi-broker setup, or an account you do not want tied to one broker’s terms, a paid VPS you control is the safer choice.

Editorial note
This comparison of MT5 VPS providers covers four requirements: Windows Server pre-installed, sub-5ms broker latency, dedicated CPU and RAM, and a compensatory uptime SLA, with the MetaQuotes first-party service included as the market baseline. Five providers are evaluated on the same criteria. Pricing, specifications, and policies are based on provider-published pages, initially checked on 29 September 2026 with targeted corrections checked on 2 October 2026; verify current terms before purchase, since pricing changes frequently. GBP conversions use the ECB reference rate of 28 September 2026 and exclude VAT. Latency figures from all providers are commercially motivated and have not been independently replicated, and are treated as directional; validate actual latency to your broker via a trial or refund window before an annual commitment. SLA percentages are billing commitments, not trading insurance: credits return part or all of a month’s hosting fee and never cover trading losses. This guide evaluates VPS infrastructure for retail MT5 hosting and does not constitute financial advice or a guarantee of trading outcomes. Performance depends on broker execution quality, market conditions, and trader skill, none of which a VPS can fully control.
Change log
29 September 2026. Initial publication. Five MT5 VPS providers compared on four requirements, Windows Server pre-installed, broker latency, dedicated CPU and RAM, and uptime SLA terms, with MetaQuotes’ own hosting as the price baseline. Prices, specifications, and terms were checked against each provider’s own pages on that date, and latency figures are recorded as vendor-stated.
2 October 2026. Corrected QuantVPS locations, annual pricing, and the SLA/terms conflict; added NYCServers Standard promotional pricing and Beeks annual billing. Clarified Windows memory sizing, confirmed MetaQuotes’ $10 annual headline while retaining the $12.80 plans-page discrepancy, and corrected Cloudzy setup and Beeks rack coverage. Updated references.
