Most advice on a US Forex VPS stops at two words: New York. That is a good start, because many brokers host their trade servers in the Equinix data centres in Secaucus, New Jersey. But a US broker does not always mean a New York server. OANDA said in 2017 that its US servers were in Equinix NY4 [2], and VPSForexTrader’s published table shows OANDA’s US live servers at 2.29 to 2.51 ms from its New York node. The same table shows FOREX.com’s US live servers answering fastest from its London node, at 1.51 to 1.59 ms, and at 70 to 72 ms from New York [5].
A VPS (a rented Windows server in a data centre) keeps your MetaTrader terminal and Expert Advisors (EAs) running when your own computer is off. Put it in the wrong city and every order still travels the distance.
This guide compares six hosts with US servers: VPSForexTrader, NYCServers, VPSforFX, QuantVPS, Cloudzy and Beeks. VPSForexTrader runs its New York node in Equinix NY2 in Secaucus and, with VPSforFX, is one of two that state ECC memory on every plan and install Windows Server 2025 by default. NYCServers names NY4, VPSforFX sells New York without naming the building, QuantVPS places its New York servers beside NY4 and adds Chicago, Cloudzy sells six US regions without naming the buildings, and Beeks offers New York and Chicago, billed in pounds.
It is written for two groups: traders at a US-regulated forex dealer, and traders outside the US whose broker hosts its MetaTrader servers in New York.
The short version
VPSForexTrader Smart runs in Equinix NY2, Secaucus, with 3 AMD EPYC cores, 4 GB of ECC memory, 120 GB of NVMe storage and Windows Server 2025, rated for up to 4 terminals at $31.99 a month. Its latency table lists OANDA’s US servers at 2.29 to 2.51 ms from New York.
NYCServers Standard runs in NY4 with 2 cores, 4 GB of DDR5 memory and MT4 and MT5 pre-installed, rated for 3 to 6 trading accounts at $40.00 a month. Its planned maintenance runs from Friday 17:00 to Sunday 17:00 New York time, while the forex market is closed.
VPSforFX Standard runs in New York, with 2 AMD EPYC cores, 4 GB of DDR4 ECC memory, 70 GB of NVMe storage and Windows Server 2025, rated for 6 terminals at $29.99 a month. Its latency page lists OANDA’s US servers at the same 2.29 to 2.51 ms.
QuantVPS VPS Starter has 2 AMD EPYC cores and 4 GB of DDR4 memory for $29.99 a month, with New York and Chicago among its locations, but QuantVPS rates it for 0 to 1 terminals. Its SLA promises 99.999 percent uptime.
Cloudzy 4 GB has 2 virtual cores on AMD EPYC, 4 GB of DDR5 memory and 120 GB of NVMe in six US regions for $14.48 a month during a 50 percent sale, without a permanent Windows licence.
Beeks Silver has 2 virtual cores, 4 GB of memory and 50 GB of SSD storage in New York or Chicago for £55 a month before VAT, about $72.97, billed only in pounds.
How this comparison was built
This comparison is compiled from provider documentation, live pricing pages, public regulator data, and vendor-published performance data, captured on October 15, 2026. Vendor-published figures are labeled as such. Providers were evaluated on US data centre disclosure, ECC memory, Windows version, published broker latency, maintenance windows in New York time, uptime terms, trial and refund terms, and the monthly price of a plan with 4 GB of memory. Where a provider does not publish a specification, the gap is stated rather than estimated.
The order follows a published score. Each provider earns one point for each of four things its public pages state: the data centre it uses, ECC memory on every plan, the Windows version that comes with the plan, and latency figures for named brokers. VPSForexTrader scores 4, NYCServers and VPSforFX 3, and QuantVPS, Cloudzy and Beeks 1 each. Ties are broken first by a published uptime SLA (a written uptime promise with service credits), which NYCServers, QuantVPS and Cloudzy have and VPSforFX and Beeks do not, so NYCServers is second and VPSforFX third, and then by ECC memory on at least some plans, which QuantVPS states for its Performance line.
When a provider does not mention ECC memory, that is a gap in what it has written down, not proof that its servers lack it. Prices are on monthly billing unless a longer term is named, and exclude VAT. Beeks bills in pounds, converted at the European Central Bank rates of October 14, 2026 [10]. No VPS provider has its latency figures independently audited.
Where US and offshore brokers keep their MetaTrader servers
US-regulated dealers
The National Futures Association (NFA) describes a retail foreign exchange dealer (RFED) as a firm that acts as counterparty to off-exchange forex trades with people who are not “eligible contract participants”, in other words retail customers. Registration is required unless the firm is exempt, and every registered RFED must be an NFA member [1]. The CFTC’s monthly financial report, as of July 31, 2026, lists four firms holding retail forex obligations to customers [1]:
| Dealer (registered firm) | Retail forex obligation, July 31, 2026 | MetaTrader | Server location stated by the broker | VPSForexTrader table, fastest node |
| FOREX.com (Gain Capital Group LLC) | $204.1 million | MetaTrader 5, with links to MetaTrader 4 | Not stated | London, 1.51 to 1.59 ms |
| OANDA (OANDA Corporation) | $132.4 million | MetaTrader 4 | Equinix NY4 (2017 press release) | New York, 2.29 to 2.51 ms |
| tastyfx (TastyFX LLC) | $50.0 million | MetaTrader 4 and 5 | Not stated | Not listed |
| Trading.com (Trading.com Markets Inc) | $2.9 million | MetaTrader 5 | Not stated | Not listed |
Of the four, only OANDA has said where its US servers are, and that statement dates from January 2017. For FOREX.com, a VPSForexTrader reading on October 15, 2026 put all seven listed US live servers fastest from London, at 1.51 to 1.59 ms, and at 70 to 72 ms from New York [5]. That is vendor data, not a statement from FOREX.com, but it is enough reason to check before you rent a New York VPS for a FOREX.com account. tastyfx says its MetaTrader 4 VPS is “hosted by Beeks in London” [2], which does not tell you where its trade server is.
US rules also change how EAs behave. NFA Compliance Rule 2-43(b) says forex dealer members “may not carry offsetting positions in a customer account”, and offsetting trades are closed on a first-in, first-out basis; at the customer’s request, a trade can instead be offset against the oldest open trade of the same size [1]. An EA that hedges in the same pair, or closes a specific ticket out of order, needs to be checked against these rules before you host it anywhere.
Offshore brokers with servers in New York
Several brokers based outside the US host MetaTrader servers in New York. IC Markets, Vantage and Pepperstone do not appear in the CFTC’s report [1]. IC Markets says its MetaTrader 4 and 5 servers “are currently located in the NY4 data centre in New York”, while its cTrader servers are in London’s LD5 [2]. Vantage’s UK site lists its Line Servers 1 and 3 in New York and 2 and 4 in London [2]. Pepperstone does not publish a location.
The hosts’ own tables fill some gaps. VPSForexTrader lists IC Markets’ live servers at 1.23 to 1.71 ms from New York and eight Pepperstone Group Edge servers at 1.3 to 2.19 ms, while a ninth, Edge14, answers fastest from London [5]. NYCServers lists 12 brokers at 1.01 to 1.04 ms from NY4, including IC Markets, Axi, Pepperstone and ThinkMarkets [6]. The two tables do not always agree: ThinkMarkets reads 1.03 ms on NYCServers’ table, while VPSForexTrader shows its live servers at 72.49 to 73.39 ms from New York and fastest from London.
Three checks give a firmer answer. Ask your broker which data centre hosts the trade server for your account type, and keep the reply. Open the MetaTrader VPS order screen in your terminal: MetaQuotes says it automatically suggests the hosting point closest to your broker’s server [11]. Then log your account in on a trial VPS and read the ping there. The ping you see at home is a weak clue, because MetaTrader 5 connects through MetaQuotes access servers on its way to the broker [11].
The six hosts at a glance
Each row shows the provider’s plan with 4 GB of memory, on monthly billing, captured on October 15, 2026. VPSforFX was read on October 16.

| Beeks | None published | Not published | None published | No trial listed; refund within 24 hours of buying | GBP only |
Secaucus and beyond: what distance costs inside the US
Both New York data centres named in this guide are in New Jersey. Equinix NY2 is at 275 Hartz Way and NY4 at 755 Secaucus Road, both in Secaucus [3]. Hosts in these buildings publish figures of about 1 to 2.5 ms to brokers that answer fastest from New York: 1.01 to 1.04 ms from NY4 on NYCServers’ table, and 1.19 to 2.51 ms from NY2 on VPSForexTrader’s tables [5][6]. Those are vendor figures, and neither host says how it measured them.
Distance across the country costs far more. Microsoft’s latency statistics include no region in New York, so its East US region in Virginia is the nearest reference. Over the 30 days to July 30, 2026, Microsoft’s median round trips from Virginia were 19 ms to Illinois (North Central US), 28 ms to Iowa, 35 ms to Texas, 69 ms to California and 71 ms to Washington state [4]. For comparison, Virginia to London (UK South) was 78 ms.
That matters when a host offers several US regions. Microsoft does not publish figures for Dallas, Los Angeles, Las Vegas or Utah, but its Texas and California regions sit 35 and 69 ms from Virginia, so a VPS in any of those cities sits far from a broker server in New Jersey. Those regions can suit other workloads, but not a broker in Secaucus.
Chicago is a different case. QuantVPS’s Chicago page is built around CME Globex, the futures exchange’s matching engine at the CyrusOne data centre in Aurora, Illinois [7]. That matters if you trade CME currency futures. None of the spot forex brokers in this guide says it hosts MetaTrader in Chicago.
Maintenance windows in New York time
The forex week runs from Sunday evening to Friday evening New York time. OANDA’s US hours, for example, run from 17:05 on Sunday to 16:59 on Friday, with a daily break from 16:59 to 17:05 [2]. A maintenance window inside that weekend gap takes an EA offline only while the market is closed; one that reaches into Sunday evening can keep it offline for the open. None of the windows published by the six hosts reaches the Sunday open.
NYCServers’ planned maintenance runs from Friday 17:00 to Sunday 17:00 Eastern Time, with at least 24 hours’ notice, which fits the closed market exactly, although emergency work can happen at any time [6]. QuantVPS’s SLA window runs from Friday 10:00 PM to Saturday 9:00 PM Central Time, which is Friday 23:00 to Saturday 22:00 in New York, also inside the weekend [7].
VPSForexTrader publishes no window; its New York page says “We never take servers down for maintenance during active trading days”, but its Terms keep the right to carry out maintenance without notice [5]. Cloudzy excludes planned maintenance from its SLA and publishes no window [8]. Beeks publishes neither a window nor an SLA [9].
VPSForexTrader

Infrastructure tier: managed forex VPS on AMD EPYC with ECC memory and high-availability NVMe storage
US location: Equinix NY2, Secaucus, New Jersey (also London, Amsterdam and Hong Kong)
First place goes to VPSForexTrader because its public pages answer all four scored questions. It has hosted forex VPS since 2011 [5].
VPSForexTrader Smart is a managed Windows VPS in Equinix NY2 in Secaucus, designed for MetaTrader traders whose broker hosts its servers in the New York area. Each Smart server has 3 AMD EPYC cores, 4 GB of ECC memory, 120 GB of NVMe storage with high availability, weekly backups and Windows Server 2025 Standard, rated for up to 4 terminals at $31.99 a month, or $25.59 a month on a 12-month term and $19.19 on 24 months [5]. Its broker latency table lists OANDA Corporation’s five v20 live servers at 2.29 to 2.51 ms from the New York node. Boost adds 6 cores, 6 GB of ECC memory, 180 GB and daily backups for up to 7 terminals at $54.99, and Max has 8 cores, 8 GB and 250 GB for up to 10 at $79.99. For an OANDA account, or an offshore broker that answers fastest from New York, Smart and VPSforFX Standard are the only 4 GB plans in this comparison that state ECC memory, and Smart is the only one of the two that names its building.
The latency data is the most useful part for choosing a city. The New York page lists FP Markets LLC at 1.19 ms, Go Markets at 1.23 ms, Pepperstone Group at 1.3 ms and TMGM at 1.51 ms, stamped “Data updated 2026-10-15 08:00 UTC” [5]. The same page also gives a headline range of 1.09 to 1.24 ms and, in its FAQ, 1.03 to 1.08 ms, and it does not explain how any of the figures are measured. The full broker table goes further: it shows each broker’s servers from all four nodes, which is how it points FOREX.com’s US servers to London rather than New York.
MetaTrader is not pre-installed on the VPS plans; you install it over remote desktop, and support can help. The New York page says automated strategies and “copy-trading keep working even when your own device is off” [5]. No uptime SLA is published, and the Terms disclaim liability for outages. A $0.99 three-day trial runs on Smart in New York, London or Amsterdam, and the 14-day money-back guarantee covers every paid plan but not the trial.
Best fit: traders at OANDA or at offshore brokers whose servers answer fastest from New York, running up to ten terminals, who want ECC memory and Windows Server 2025. Less ideal if: you need a Chicago or West Coast server, want MetaTrader pre-installed, or need a written uptime SLA with credits.
Strengths
- ECC memory stated on Smart, Boost and Max
- Windows Server 2025 Standard by default
- per-server latency tables that include OANDA’s US servers
- a $0.99 three-day trial in New York
- daily backups from Boost upward
Limitations
- one US city only
- no published uptime SLA, and the Terms disclaim liability for outages
- the trading-day maintenance promise is not in the Terms
- the New York page gives three different latency ranges without a method
- MetaTrader is not pre-installed on VPS plans
- weekly backups only on Smart
NYCServers

Infrastructure tier: trading VPS and dedicated servers
US location: NY4 (also LD4, TY3, SG1, HK1 and DUB1)
NYCServers, the trading name of Greenhill Technologies Inc., sells forex VPS in six data centres it names by code [6]. Its plans are sized in trading accounts: Basic (2 cores, 2 GB of DDR5, 60 GB of NVMe) for 1 to 2 accounts at $25.00, Standard (2 cores, 4 GB, 70 GB) for 3 to 6 at $40.00, and Professional (4 cores, 8 GB, 100 GB) for 7 to 8 at $60.00, on monthly billing. Yearly billing brings Standard to $33.33 a month. The FAQ on the same page gives different ranges, 1 to 2, 3 to 5, 6 to 8 and 10 or more, so treat the account counts as guidance. A dedicated server costs $175 a month.
MT4 and MT5 come pre-installed on Windows Server 2022, and a new VPS is advertised as ready in 30 seconds [6]. The NY4 table lists 12 brokers at 1.01 to 1.04 ms, none of them among the four US dealers in the CFTC report, and a separate OANDA page advertises a “1ms connection to Oanda”; neither states a method. NYCServers has no Chicago location, and the site does not say whether the memory is ECC.
Its SLA promises 100 percent availability during market hours. A shortfall earns a credit of 10 percent of the monthly fee below 100 percent, rising in 10-point steps to the full fee below 99.1 percent; the SLA does not say how availability is measured, and planned maintenance is excluded [6]. VPS refunds are available within 14 days, once per account, and dedicated servers are not refundable.
Strengths
- NY4 named
- MT4 and MT5 pre-installed
- planned maintenance confined to the forex weekend
- an SLA with credits during market hours
Limitations
- ECC memory status not publicly specified
- account ranges on the plan cards and FAQ disagree
- Windows Server 2022 rather than 2025
- broker latency published without a method
- no trial, one VPS refund per account, and no refunds on dedicated servers
VPSforFX

Infrastructure tier: forex VPS on AMD EPYC with DDR4 ECC memory and high-availability NVMe storage
US location: New York (also London, Amsterdam and Hong Kong)
VPSforFX scores 3: its pages state ECC memory on every plan, Windows Server 2025 and per-broker latency [12].
Standard has 2 AMD EPYC cores, 4 GB of DDR4 ECC memory, 70 GB of NVMe storage with high availability and Windows Server 2025, rated for 6 terminals at $29.99 a month, or $269.91 a year, about $22.49 a month. Starter (1 core, 2.5 GB, 50 GB) is rated for 2 terminals at $19.99 and Enterprise (12 cores, 16 GB, 100 GB) for 32 at $149.99 [12]. No Chicago or West Coast server is sold; Silicon Valley and Seattle appear on the site only as coming soon.
Its latency page lists OANDA Corporation’s five v20 live servers at 2.29 to 2.51 ms from New York, FOREX.com’s US live servers at 1.51 to 1.62 ms from the UK and 70 to 72 ms from New York, and IC Markets’ live servers at 1.23 to 1.71 ms from New York [12]. MetaTrader is not pre-installed. The homepage states 99.92 percent uptime, and the Terms allow maintenance without notice and disclaim liability for outages. The $0.99 three-day trial runs on Standard in New York, London or Hong Kong and is excluded from the 14-day money-back guarantee. Payment is by card, PayPal or cryptocurrency [12].
Strengths
- ECC memory stated on all three plans
- Windows Server 2025 by default
- a 4 GB plan rated for six terminals at $29.99
- a latency table that covers OANDA’s and FOREX.com’s US servers
- a $0.99 three-day trial in New York
Limitations
- one US city only
- MetaTrader is not pre-installed
- plan cards and FAQ disagree on terminal counts
QuantVPS

Infrastructure tier: trading VPS and dedicated servers on AMD EPYC and Ryzen
US locations: New York and Chicago
QuantVPS’s New York page calls NY4 “a financial datacenter in Secaucus, New Jersey” and offers its VPS “beside NYSE, NASDAQ and the NY4 broker trade servers”, without saying the servers are inside the building [7]. It says IC Markets, OANDA, Vantage Markets and other MetaTrader and cTrader brokers host trade servers in Secaucus, and it gives 0 to 10 ms to NY4 forex brokers on VPS and under 1 ms on dedicated servers, labeled “Published route information, not a live measurement”. Its forex page labels the forex plans NY4 or LD4 and installs MT4 or MT5 at checkout, so the two pages describe the New York location differently. The Chicago page is aimed at futures traders, with a route figure of 0.52 ms to CME, again not a measurement.
VPS Starter (2 AMD EPYC 7003 cores, 4 GB of DDR4, 50 GB of NVMe) costs $29.99 a month, and its MetaTrader page rates it for 0 to 1 terminals. Lite (4 cores, 8 GB, 75 GB, $59.99) covers 1 to 3, and Pro (6 cores, 16 GB, 150 GB, $99.99) covers 3 to 5, all on Windows Server 2022 with automatic backups [7]. An 80 percent discount on the first month was advertised on October 15, 2026, so check the price at checkout.
Its SLA (October 9, 2026) sets 99.999 percent uptime with service credits and the Friday night to Saturday night window covered above. Refunds apply within 14 days only to new standard VPS plans bought without a coupon or discount, so a discounted first month is not refundable [7].
Strengths
- New York and Chicago
- MT4 or MT5 installed at checkout on forex plans
- automatic backups on every VPS plan
- a 99.999 percent SLA with a maintenance window inside the forex weekend
Limitations
- the New York page places the servers beside NY4, not inside it
- the 4 GB Starter plan is rated for 0 to 1 terminals
- ECC memory not publicly specified on the Standard line
- Windows Server 2022 rather than 2025
- latency given as route figures, not measured per broker
- refunds only on new undiscounted standard plans
Cloudzy

Infrastructure tier: general-purpose cloud VPS with forex-labelled plans
US locations: New York, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Utah
Cloudzy sells general cloud VPS in six US regions and does not name the data centre buildings [8]. Its forex page recommends “New York / Miami for US flow”, and its FAQ suggests New York or Miami for OANDA, FOREX.com and Tradeview. The 4 GB plan has 2 virtual cores on AMD EPYC, 4 GB of DDR5 memory and 120 GB of NVMe for $14.48 a month during a 50 percent sale; the regular price is $28.95.
Check Windows before you compare prices. Cloudzy includes a Windows trial licence and expects you to bring your own licence for permanent use, and it publishes no price for one [8]. So $14.48 is not a like-for-like price against plans that include Windows. The site does not say whether the memory is ECC, and it publishes no latency figures for named brokers.
Its SLA (May 2026) promises 99.95 percent uptime. Credits are paid only on a support ticket: downtime of more than 20 minutes and up to 36 hours earns the hourly cost of the server for the time lost, and more than 36 hours earns 100 percent of the monthly fee [8]. Planned maintenance is excluded, and no window is published. New sign-ups can get a refund within 14 days.
Strengths
- the lowest advertised price for a 4 GB plan here, with 120 GB of NVMe
- six US regions, including Miami and the West Coast
- a published SLA with service credits
Limitations
- no permanent Windows licence in the price, and no published licence cost
- data centre buildings not named
- ECC memory status not publicly specified
- no latency figures for named brokers
- credits only on request, with planned maintenance excluded and no window published
- the headline price depends on a 50 percent sale
Beeks

Infrastructure tier: retail VPS from a listed trading-infrastructure company
US locations: New York and Chicago (also London, Frankfurt, Hong Kong and Tokyo)
Beeks Financial Cloud Group builds trading infrastructure for exchanges and financial institutions and also sells a small retail VPS range [9]. Its store lists Silver (2 virtual cores, 4,096 MB of memory, 50 GB of storage, described as SSD on its VPS page) at £55 a month before VAT, about $72.97, or £550 a year, which gives two months free. Beeks gives a guideline of six MetaTrader instances with about 18 charts in total for Silver, and the Windows image is Server 2022. Billing is in pounds only, so the dollar cost moves with the exchange rate. Beeks’ corporate VPS page still shows £32, £57 and £100 for the three plans.
The store does not name the New York or Chicago data centres and publishes no latency figures [9]. A new server takes one to two hours while markets are open and up to 24 hours at weekends. Refunds apply only within 24 hours of buying, and no uptime SLA is published.
Some traders reach Beeks through a broker instead. OANDA names BeeksFX as a VPS partner with data centres in New York and London, and tastyfx’s MetaTrader 4 VPS is hosted by Beeks in London [2].
Strengths
- New York and Chicago from a company that runs exchange infrastructure
- a guideline of six MetaTrader instances on the 4 GB plan
- a yearly price with two months free
- access through broker VPS programmes at OANDA and tastyfx
Limitations
- billing in pounds only, about $72.97 a month for 4 GB
- SSD storage with no mention of NVMe
- data centres not named and no latency figures
- refunds only within 24 hours
- setup can take up to 24 hours at weekends
- no published uptime SLA
Mistakes that cost US traders money
Assuming every US broker is in New York. VPSForexTrader’s table puts FOREX.com’s US live servers at 70 to 72 ms from New York and 1.51 to 1.59 ms from London [5]. Ask the broker, then test from a trial.
Choosing a region by state rather than by broker. Microsoft’s Texas and California regions are 35 and 69 ms from Virginia [4], so a VPS near home in Dallas or Los Angeles can put your EA far from a broker in New Jersey. If your broker is in Secaucus, so should your VPS be.
Buying by memory instead of by terminal rating. Every plan in the table has 4 GB, but the vendor ratings run from 0 to 1 terminals on QuantVPS Starter to up to 4 on VPSForexTrader Smart and 6 on VPSforFX Standard and Beeks Silver [5][7][9][12]. Check memory use in Task Manager during a busy session before adding terminals.
Comparing a price without Windows. Cloudzy’s $14.48 sale price covers a trial licence only [8], so add the cost of a permanent licence before comparing.
Running an EA that hedges at a US dealer. NFA rules bar offsetting positions in one account and close trades first in, first out [1], so test the EA’s order logic on a demo account at your US broker before moving it to a VPS.
Which host fits which US trader
An OANDA trader running one EA or up to four terminals fits VPSForexTrader Smart in New York at $31.99 a month, or $19.19 a month on 24 months. The $0.99 trial lets you log in and read the ping to your own OANDA server before you pay for a month.
A FOREX.com trader should confirm the server location first. If the broker confirms what VPSForexTrader’s table shows, the London node is the one to test, and the same Smart plan runs there.
tastyfx and Trading.com traders have no published location or latency figures to go on, so start with the broker’s support desk and a trial ping test.
A trader outside the US whose broker’s servers answer fastest from New York, such as IC Markets or Pepperstone’s Edge servers, fits the same New York plan. If you want MetaTrader pre-installed and a maintenance window fixed to the weekend, NYCServers Standard costs $40.00.
A CME futures trader who also trades spot forex may need Chicago for the futures side. QuantVPS and Beeks offer Chicago; VPSForexTrader, NYCServers and VPSforFX do not.
Three findings from this comparison
Only one of the four US dealers states where its servers are, and OANDA’s statement dates from 2017 [2]. For the rest, a host’s latency table or your own ping test is the evidence.
Per-server latency to US-regulated dealers is rare. VPSForexTrader’s and VPSforFX’s table cover OANDA’s and FOREX.com’s US servers; NYCServers’ NY4 table lists none of the four, though a separate page advertises 1 ms to OANDA; the other three hosts publish no broker tables [5] to [9][12].
The 4 GB plans in this comparison range from $14.48 to about $72.97 a month, and the cheapest excludes a permanent Windows licence while the most expensive is billed in pounds [8][9].
Frequently asked questions
Should I use a New York VPS for OANDA or FOREX.com?
For OANDA, yes: OANDA said in 2017 that its US servers were in NY4, and VPSForexTrader lists them at 2.29 to 2.51 ms from New York [2][5]. For FOREX.com, check first: VPSForexTrader’s table shows its US servers fastest from London, at 1.51 to 1.59 ms, and FOREX.com does not publish a location [5].
Do I need a Chicago VPS for forex?
Usually not. Chicago matters for CME currency futures, whose matching engine is in Aurora, Illinois [7]. None of the spot forex brokers in this guide says it hosts MetaTrader there.
Can my EA hedge at a US broker?
No. NFA Compliance Rule 2-43(b) says forex dealer members may not carry offsetting positions in a customer account, and offsets are made first in, first out [1]. At your request, a trade can be offset against the oldest open trade of the same size instead. EAs that hedge or close specific tickets need to be adapted.
Which US brokers include a free VPS?
FOREX.com offers an EA VPS through Liquidity Connect, free with $500,000 of notional volume a month and for a $30 fee otherwise. tastyfx’s MetaTrader 4 VPS, hosted by Beeks in London, is free with an MT4 balance of $2,000 or more and $50 a month below that, and its MetaTrader 5 hosting is free with a $1,000 balance and one trade a month. OANDA covers a VPS for Elite Trader members, which requires $10 million of monthly volume [2].
How much does a US forex VPS cost?
On October 15, 2026, the 4 GB plans in this comparison cost $14.48 to about $72.97 a month: $14.48 at Cloudzy on sale without a permanent Windows licence, $29.99 at QuantVPS and VPSforFX, $31.99 at VPSForexTrader, $40.00 at NYCServers and £55 (about $72.97) at Beeks [5] to [9][12]. MetaTrader VPS costs $15 a month per trading account [11].

Editorial note
Plans, prices, latency tables, maintenance windows and refund terms in this guide were read from provider, broker and regulator websites on October 15, 2026. Prices are on monthly billing unless a longer term is named, and exclude VAT; providers run promotions often, so confirm the amount at checkout. Latency figures from VPS providers are their own and have not been independently tested; VPSForexTrader’s broker table refreshes continuously, so figures read later may differ. Microsoft’s figures describe its own backbone between data centres. Brokers can move their servers without notice. This guide covers trading infrastructure only and does not constitute financial advice: trading performance depends on broker execution quality, market conditions, and trader skill, none of which a VPS can fully control. Send corrections through the contact page; we record them in the change log.
